Abstract

A simple and highly efficient green protocol for the synthesis of bis (indolyl)methanes was carried out by the reaction of indole with aldehydes in the presence of cobalt manganese oxide nano catalysts. A report novel and easy method for the synthesis of cobalt manganese oxide nano catalysts and morphological investigation by XRD, SEM and FT-IR were also reported. The remarkable advantages of this method are the simple experimental procedures, shorter reaction times, high yields of product, reusable, non-toxic catalyst and solvent-free.
