Abstract

Activities of graphite-supported rhodium catalysts were examined for the hydrogenation of naphthalene in supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2) solvent at 313 K, and results were compared with those of activated carbon-supported rhodium catalysts. The graphite-supported rhodium catalysts exhibited higher activities on a catalyst-weight basis and higher turnover frequency values for the naphthalene hydrogenation in scCO2 than activated carbon-supported rhodium ones.
