Abstract

β-Di-brominated meso-tetraphenylporphyrinatomanganes(III) acetate (MnTPPBr2OAc) as an electron deficient Mn-porphyrin is an efficient catalyst for selective oxidation of unstrained cyclic alkenes and conjugated acyclic ones with tetra-n-butylammonium hydrogen monopersulfate in the presence of imidazole within very short times.
