Abstract

Carbon-based solid acid was found to be highly efficient, environmentally friendly and recyclable heterogeneous catalyst for oxidation of sulfides to sulfones, tertiary amines to N-oxides, secondary alcohols to esters/lactones and aldehydes to methyl esters in excellent yields under mild reaction conditions using hydrogen peroxide 30% as oxidant.
