Abstract

Bismuth(III) trifluoroacetate immobilized on [nbpy]FeCl4 was found to be an efficient and low toxic catalytic system for the one-pot synthesis of 4,6-diarylpyrimidin-2(1H)-ones. This procedure is very easy, rapid and high yielding reaction for the synthesis of the pyrimidin-2(1H)-one derivatives. The catalyst exhibited remarkable reactivity and it is reusable.
