Abstract

Electron accelerators are a source of high energy electrons which are used at different technological applications. NOx removal contained in off-gases was studied by using electron beam generated plasma. It was found that removal efficiency of NOx was influenced by applied energy and its input mode, gas flow patterns and different types of scavengers to enhance radical driven reactions.

Since the most energy consumption is required for NOx removal, the scavengers may be used for its reduction what is important for the process economy.
